This conference is an annual event that draws people from all over the East Coast concerning specific medieval topics and scholarly research. For this particular year, the client wanted to reference viking and anglo-saxon literature.
In my design, I depicted a medieval type of ship that the vikings would have travelled in. Since the conference motivates people to travel to Farmville, Virginia, I thought the boat was appropriate to represent that. My design was chosen over the other two designs because of the bright blue colors, the spectacular and accurate photograph of the boat and how eye catching it was. The client also enjoyed the slightly gothic typography that was utilized.
This is a poster for a family musical themed with fantasy. The canal boats and a horizon line subjected with distant buildings relate to the story's setting in Venice. This poster brings a feel of the mystery in the plot and setting while displaying rich colors that Venice can offer. The lamp with brilliant light relates to the magic of the play as well.
The Longwood University English and Modern Language department wanted banners to display in the halls of their building to let students know the concentrations of each branch. The goal was to have a pair of banners for each department, making a set of four in total.
The first pair for English, I focused on the literature aspect of the major with a book coming to life. The illustrations embody the headline of each banner.
The second pair for Modern Language, I went with a worldly route. The passport and different landmarks represent the countries that speak French, German, and Spanish.
This infographic is another piece of the senior project I executed. It compares industrial style farming and education to an organic style of each.
How many people CAN Earth sustain? This infographic displays research and numbers in an organized manner to better comprehend the population of our planet.
The goal is to make the public aware of the daunting threats to our home and survival. Hopefully, it will make people want to make changes to preserve the environment.
