Reinventing traditional packaging was the purpose of this project. The aim was to design a new and innovative package for a common consumer product. The reinvented packaging dictated the type of product inside.
These petite bottles were found and reused as seed containers. The specimen inside are "heirloom seeds grown, saved, and passed down for more than 100 years." Each bottle has one type of seed inside. This selection included green bell peppers, green garden beans, wild asparagus, and giant nobel spinach.
I wanted to give a high-end feel to the product and could see these special seeds being sold in upscale stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joes, or Wegmans.
Don't feed the animals.
This project simply called for a creative piece of typography to be displayed in the surrounding community. This subtle, yet powerful message grabbed the attention of many students on the Longwood University campus.
Yes, I actually collected littered cigarette butts from the dirty streets to assemble these letterforms. What I won't do for design.
These two web layouts were also created for Uptown Coffee Cafe, along with the logo also seen in my portfolio. I created the layouts because the cafe did not have an updated website at the time. I was inspired by the vibes in the coffee shop to design these pages while I sipped a hot cup of joe. Just for my own enjoyment.
The designs convey a warm, earthy feel, much like the java atmosphere in the actual cafe.
